Can you charge a Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with an ASUS ROG 65W?

Worked out from the manufacturers’ specifications. Have a different charger? Pick it below the answer.

Answer
Yes, standard speed

It charges at normal speed. For the fastest speed the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra needs a charger with PPS, which the ASUS ROG 65W doesn’t support.

Quick answers

Is it safe to charge the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with the ASUS ROG 65W?

Yes. USB Power Delivery negotiates power, so the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra only takes what it can handle and the charger only gives what it can supply. A weaker charger is slower, not dangerous.

How many watts does the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra need for fast charging?

45 W or more, from a USB-C PD charger that supports PPS. Super Fast Charging up to 45W: 0–100% in about 95 minutes with Samsung’s 45W adapter (sold separately).

How long does the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra take to charge with the ASUS ROG 65W?

About 1 h 30 min to 50% and 3 h 50 min to full, estimated with the device idle.
